Overview of the InfoHub Wiki

InfoHub(TM) is a web-based, free deafness encyclopaedia project. InfoHub(TM) is written collaboratively by volunteers from all around the world. The name InfoHub(TM) was chosen to reflect the dynamic nature of the wiki – information coming in from contributors to a central portal, and going out to readers.

InfoHub(TM) is not like a standard printed encyclopaedia. Because InfoHub(TM) is an ongoing work to which anybody can contribute, articles tend to “mature”, with older articles tending to be more comprehensive and balanced, whereas newer articles more frequently contain significant misinformation, biased or irrelevant content, or vandalism. Readers should be aware of this to ensure they assess the articles and avoid misinformation that has been recently added and not yet removed. On the positive side, InfoHub(TM) is continually updated, with the creation or updating of articles within seconds, minutes or hours, rather than months or years.

InfoHub(TM) generally follows the usage policies of Wikipedia.org.
